Summary

The Demand Planning Manager supports the FFW Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by contributing to the Wholesale Depletions Forecast and maintaining and improving the Shipment Forecast for all channels. This role will interact regularly with the Operations, Sales, DTC, Finance, and Winemaking teams; and have the opportunity to influence critical decision-making at Foley Family Wines.

** This position has the potential for a hybrid work schedule. Will be onsite in Santa Rosa a few days a month. **

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Manage the monthly Pre-S&OP Demand Review
•  Prepare data and reports to support and challenge the monthly depletions forecast from Sales (wholesale)
•  Establish a forecast informed by statistical forecasts, distribution trends, rate of sale data, pricing, and strategic overlays to develop a data-driven point of view
•  Lead Pre-Demand meeting reviewing depletions forecast and document assumptions that drive the numbers – arrive at collaborative depletions forecast
•  Create and manage the monthly shipment forecast review for DTC and International using similar, but channel-specific data-driven methodology as above
•  Convert Depletions forecast to shipments
•  Using historical customer behavior, distributor inventories, depletions forecast, summary statistics, and strategic overlays to inform a shipment forecast
•  Own data quality in EZDemand shipment forecasting module
•  Communicate issues, constraints, and concerns relative to achieving target shipments and help work to remove barriers to achieving overall company goals
•  Measure forecast accuracy and continuously search for areas and methods for improvement
•  Contribute to the overall maturation of the S&OP process
•  Special projects and assignments as appropriate

Experience and Qualifications

•  Five years related experience, preferably in the wine industry
•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  Proficiency with MS Office Suite – advanced skills in Excel
•  Demonstrated understanding of three-tier system
•  Demonstrated understanding wine industry supply chain and the role of demand plays
•  Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and practices
