DTC Shipping Lead


The DTC Shipping Lead works closely with DTC Supervisor and DTC Club Lead to ensure shipments are being processed to meet OTIF (On time, In Full) shipping status. DTC Shipping Lead primary functions are to assign orders, provide replenishments and ship all FedEx and UPS packages out by requested ship date. DTC shipping lead also serves as the primary QC for all outgoing orders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Point person for all DTC shipping
• Ensures team ship OTIF (On Time, In Full)
• Research and resolve customer issues.
• Lead team members times responsibly, efficiently and effectively
• Train new and existing team members
• Serves as main QC for all outgoing orders, ensuring sustainable shipping accuracy
• Partners with DTC club Lead to plan and execute on time shipments for all DTC clubs
• Communicate directly with Supervisor to ensure staffing needs are met
• Ensure all incoming/outgoing orders are processed within 24 hours
• Regularly check in with Logistics for any pending/scheduled orders (new outbound/internal Transfer schedule)
• Assists with any 3PL shipping needs
• Ensure safety and security of assigned area and general workspace
• Scanning out pallet tags at end of day for tracking information and email release
• Uploading manifest to UPS for tracking info release and billing purposes
• Generating replenishment reports for receiving team
• Work with Inventory lead to ensure inventory accuracy

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•  A self-starter with a commitment to excellence and high standards
•  Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse envionment.

Experience and Education

· Supply-chain/logistics experience preferred
· Customer service oriented
· Previous experience leading team members
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to take initiative with a positive “can-do” attitude.
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Outlook
· Good communication skills are needed along with a professional attitude and strong work ethic.
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a high growth company
· Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Must be able to repetitively lift a minimum of 50 lbs
· Previous wine industry warehouse experience a plus
· High School diploma or GED is required,
· Must be at least 21 years of age
