Job Summary

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for creating accurate and well-considered forecasts that match supply to demand for both near-term and long-term time horizons to support a maturing Sales and Operations Planning process. This role will have the opportunity to influence critical decision-making at Foley Family Wines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall maturation of the S&OP process
  • Create and manage the monthly shipment forecast by product for a rolling twelve-month period
    • Use a data-driven approach to forecasting – using historical customer behavior, demand plan, and summary statistics to inform decision-making
    • Own data quality in EZDemand shipment forecasting module
  • Manage the long-term supply plan for the five-year period
    • Maintain vinoEZ bulk wine management tool – updating it regularly as demand and supply estimates change
    • Balance future supply forecast to projected demand by wine program and vintage
    • Analyze upcoming supply surplus and deficit positions relative to demand, and structure analysis to most efficiently problem-solve a return to balance
  • Understand and maintain data quality across network of interrelated supply planning tools
  • Work to promote acceptance, trust, and comfort across the winemaking and supply organization with the tools we use to develop the forecast
  • Build excellent reporting, analysis, and presentations to influence and inform stakeholders across operations, sales, marketing, finance, winemaking, and viticulture

Education & Experience
  • Five years related experience, preferably in the wine industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using the ZAM Apps planning applications (vinoEZ, EZDemand, EZPlan)
  • APICS/CPSM certification a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite – advanced skills in Excel


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly sitting, listening, and requiring the use of hands to finger, and operating a keyboard on a computer, frequently talking and exchanging ideas with individuals. Is required to occasionally walk, handle, or feel objects; talk or hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee usually works in a moderately noisy office environment with light traffic and business office machines and occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
